All Blacks hero Stephen Donald, fondly known as Beaver, is running a competition to find a name for his horse. Whoever suggests the best name will win a share in the Social Racing #3 Syndicate.

 

"It's a bit of humour but obviously with my nickname and the connotations from it, we've got to be a bit careful as far as getting it past the racing authorities," Donald said.

 

Newshub visited Stephen at the stables to have a chat about the beautiful two year old and it's potential name - watch the video here.

 

"I'm very excited about it and I can't wait for it all to happen. It's still early days, but it's exciting times.

 

"She's a beautiful horse - she's got champion written all over her. I was a little bit nervous when I had to lead the filly around the stable though."

 

The name will be chosen this Sunday, 9 April.
